If Anna G. was Mendini's tribute to someone else, Alessandro M. is closer to a self-portrait.
Designed by Alessandro Mendini in 2003 as a male counterpart to his own Anna G. corkscrew, the piece uses the same visual logic: a figure whose cap and grinning face become the corkscrew's functional lever. It's a design built on a small joke that still works as a serious tool — twist the head, and the body does the rest.
