Bulla, Bottle Opener

Valerio Sommella took the smooth, egg-shaped form of the sea mollusk that gives Bulla its name and turned it into a compact bottle opener in mirror-polished 18/10 stainless steel.

First produced in 2015, it's small enough to slip into a pocket — and finished well enough to double as a pendant, worn on a cord or left hanging in the kitchen.

It's an object that blurs the line between tool and accessory without asking you to choose.
