Combining the historical experience of Alessi with elements typical of Italian culture, the Extra Ordinary Metal collection expresses the search for new possible interpretations of metal surfaces. We chose brass to interpret industrially a refined and antique goldsmith technique: Etruscan granulation. They are obtained by a cold pressing process with brass, they are created by interaction with light, a type of light skin that emphasizes both complex shapes and pure and neutral lines. The sequence of "grains" is determined geometrically by the Fibonacci episode, who was an Italian mathematician who translated the golden logic of classical proportions into numbers. This principle, based on balance in nature, expresses timeless harmony and becomes the extraordinary creator of this project.
