9090 Manico Forato Espresso Coffee Maker, 6 Cups

The pot that started it all for Alessi.

The 9090 was the first espresso coffee maker in Alessi's history, and the first of the company's pieces to win the Compasso d'Oro and to enter the permanent collection of MoMA in New York. Richard Sapper set out to give the machine features others lacked, and the result shows it: a widened base to draw maximum heat, an anti-drip spout, and a lever lock that opens the pot with a single movement of the hand.

This is the six-cup size, in 18/10 stainless steel, measuring 20.5cm high with a 12.5cm base.
