Augh! Expanding Pan-Stand

A trivet that resizes itself is a small piece of engineering wit — the Augh! opens like a mechanical iris to match whatever pan lands on it.

Designed by Donato D'Urbino and Paolo Lomazzi, two figures associated with Italian pop design since the 1960s, the Augh! is built from mirror-polished 18/10 stainless steel and extends up to 24 cm across, adapting to cookware of different sizes rather than forcing one fixed footprint. It sits flat when closed and fans out into a star-like pattern when extended — a practical object that doesn't ask you to choose between function and a bit of visual charm on the countertop.

Hand wash is recommended to preserve the polished finish.
