Pulcina Stove Top Espresso Coffee Maker, 3 Cups

The smaller sibling to Alessi's 6-cup Pulcina, sized for a quieter morning pour.

Designed by Michele De Lucchi with illycaffè, the Pulcina's signature detail is its spout — shaped like a chick's beak (the source of its name) and engineered to cut off the pour before the last, bitterest drops reach the cup. It's a rethinking of the classic stovetop moka rather than a copy of it: the same ritual, refined by a small mechanical decision.

Cast in aluminum with a black handle and knob, this 3-cup version is sized for one or two people and, like the rest of the line, is intended for gas or electric stovetops rather than induction.
