Alessini is Alessandro Mendini's table set for children, its china pieces made in decorated fine bone china: a plate, a bowl and a beaker. The Con-centrici version is patterned with bold, colourful concentric circles, a cheerful graphic meant to catch a young eye.
The idea is to help a child grow into the ritual of a proper place setting, without sacrificing the design quality of the house. It makes a considered gift for a christening or an early birthday.
