Blow up Citrus Basket

Steel rods, hand-welded almost at random, holding their shape by tension rather than by a solid wall.

The Campana brothers built the Blow Up series around the geometry of pick-up sticks — steel rods assembled and hand-welded so that solid and empty space carry equal weight in the design. Because each piece is welded by hand rather than machine-formed, no two citrus baskets are quite identical.

In 18/10 stainless steel, it holds fruit the way an open basket should — visibly, with air moving through it — while doubling as a piece of tabletop sculpture when it's empty.
