An intricate lattice of overlapping leaves, cut from steel.
Designed by Marta Sansoni, the Cactus fruit bowl is built on a laser-cutting technique that was novel when the collection launched in 2002 — the fretwork pattern of interlocking leaves repeats but never looks quite the same from any angle. The base material is stainless steel; the red, white, and black finishes are achieved with an epoxy coating over the same cut-steel structure, while the uncoated version is left in mirror-polished stainless steel.
