Cactus! is Marta Sansoni's collection for Alessi, built on an intricate fretwork of pierced cactus needles that has become one of the house's signature exercises in perforated steel. This piece (model MSA28) is the glossy 18/10 stainless steel base that holds the oil and vinegar cruets.

It keeps the bottles upright and together while carrying the same prickly, decorative silhouette through the rest of the set, a small structural object that still earns its keep as ornament.
