Andrea Branzi's Ercolino opener pairs an 18/10 stainless steel bottle-opening mechanism with a birch-wood handle, part of Alessi's "100 Values" collection created to mark the company's centenary.
The wood is turned in a partly manual process, a technique Branzi favored for the way it lets an everyday object carry warmth and character rather than pure function.
Named after Hercules, it's built with the same straightforward confidence as its namesake — simple, sturdy, and made to be handled often.
