Forma, Cheese grater

A grater shaped to sit comfortably in the palm.

Forma takes its cue from pebbles smoothed by water and wind, its organic body pressed from stainless steel through a complex manufacturing process. The name says as much: forma means shape in Italian, and the piece is built around how it feels to hold. A pattern of asymmetrical holes grates and scatters cheese unevenly, giving a dish a little texture rather than a uniform dusting.

Paired with its own stand, it doubles as a small sculptural presence on the table between uses.
