"Girotondo" Napkin Ring, Dog

A small dog, cut from the steel, keeping the napkin in its place. This napkin ring comes from Alessi's Girotondo line, the whimsical collection created by the King-Kong studio of Stefano Giovannoni and Guido Venturini, whose figurative cut-outs became a signature of early-1990s Italian design.

Worked in 18/10 stainless steel, the openwork band is a modest object with a lot of character, adding a light note to an everyday place setting. It measures five centimetres high with an inner diameter of a little over four, sized to hold a rolled napkin.
