Imperator Eagle Sculpture

A bird of prey, carved from crystal.

Designed by Jan Tésar for Baccarat, the Imperator eagle is perched with wings fully spread, beak forward, in a pose meant to project command rather than motion. The piece is built through a multi-stage process — plaster mold, clay mold, specialized ovens, careful hand-finishing — that leaves the crystal smooth and highly polished.

The Imperator design also exists in other sizes and in an American eagle variant with a more textured, dappled finish. This version is a substantial statement sculpture, suited to a collector or as a significant gift for someone drawn to strong, sculptural crystal work.
