Joy n. 11: Round Basket

A basket built from colour research.

Joy is Claudia Raimondo's exploration of metal-colouring techniques for Alessi, and this round basket is one of the resulting forms — a steel bowl finished in a considered range of tones, from natural silver to deep black and blue. At 20.7 cm across and 8 cm high, it is sized for everyday fruit or bread service rather than a centrepiece display.

It reads as sculptural on a counter and works just as well at the table.
