The Emperor's mount, rearing in clear crystal.
Marengo takes its name from Napoleon Bonaparte's favourite horse, itself named for the battle and the victory that followed. The animal was present at other celebrated engagements, and here Baccarat gives it a fresh interpretation, the rearing figure cut from a single block of clear crystal in an impressive posture. It is a substantial piece, standing close to fifteen inches tall and weighing over twelve pounds.
Designed by Allison Hawkes and created in 2018, the sculpture reflects the exceptional skill of Baccarat's master craftsmen. Made in France.
