A toilet brush disguised as a potted shrub. Merdolino is one of Stefano Giovannoni's best-known pieces from the 1990s, taking an object usually kept out of sight and reimagining it as a slim pot sprouting a cheerful plume — a piece of design humour that scandalised purists and then sold for decades.
It is made entirely in thermoplastic resin, here in blue, and stands a tall forty-eight centimetres on a twelve-centimetre base.
