Designed by Alessandro Mendini, Moka Alessi takes the rounded silhouette of the traditional stovetop moka and refines it into something quietly sculptural. The body is cast aluminium, paired with an ergonomic handle and a black thermoplastic resin knob that stays cool enough to lift. Production of the piece began in 2012.
It comes in three sizes to suit the household: one cup, three cups or six cups, rising from roughly 13.8 to 20.6 cm in height. A daily object, but one that treats the ritual with a little ceremony.
