Ossidiana Espresso coffee maker, 3cups

A moka that reads like a small piece of architecture in the hand.

Ossidiana was designed by the Sicilian architect Mario Trimarchi, whose work draws on memory and fragments of images resolved into an object's form. The faceted body is cast aluminium, with handle and knob in black thermoplastic resin. Production of the piece began in 2014.

This is the three-cup size, standing 17.5 cm tall and 12 cm wide. Poured each morning, it turns the everyday espresso into something a little more considered.
