* Carlo Alessi was
born in 1916 in Granerolo (Verbania). He studied technical design at the OMAR Institute in Novara. Starting in the mid-1930s, he designed many Alessi objects for a decade, including the "Ottagonale" and "Cilindrica" series, and the famous "Bombé," which is still produced in the catalog today.
