A Nativity scene reimagined in bright, hand-decorated porcelain.
Presepe is the crib designed for Alessi by LPWK and Massimo Giacon, first appearing in the catalogue in 2007. Giacon, a comic artist and illustrator, gives the traditional scene a warm, colourful and slightly playful character. The figures are made in hand-decorated porcelain.
It works as both a spiritual centrepiece and a piece of contemporary holiday decoration, a modern take on the Nativity that still keeps its meaning.
