Rearing Horse Sculpture

Rearing captures a horse mid-motion, forelegs lifted clear off the ground — one of the harder poses to render convincingly in a rigid material, let alone crystal. Allison Hawkes designed this figure in 1999, and the sculpture's balance is the whole point: it reads as caught in movement rather than static.

Clear crystal does the rest of the work. When light hits it directly, the detail sharpens from muzzle to hooves, giving the piece more presence the closer you look at it. It's a natural fit for anyone with a connection to horses — riders, breeders, or racetrack regulars — but it stands on its own as a study in crystal sculpture.
