Savon du Chef, Odor remover soap

A bar of steel that washes away what soap alone cannot.

Savon du Chef is a soap in name only. Its rounded form is cast in stainless steel, and it works through a natural redox reaction rather than lather: rubbed between the hands under cold running water for a few seconds, it neutralises the stubborn odours that garlic, fish and onion leave behind, so skin is left smooth and scent-free. It was designed by Frédéric Gooris with the advice of Fabrice Leclerc.

Compact at roughly seven by six and a half centimetres, it rests quietly by the sink as a piece of understated problem-solving — a kitchen tool with the presence of an object worth keeping.
