A design with roots outside Alessi, refined by one of Italian design's most decorated figures.
The Spirale ashtray was originally produced in silvered metal by the Bologna metalworker Bacci; Achille Castiglioni adapted its shape and proportions for Alessi's own production starting in 1986. The spiral rim lets a cigarette rest without falling into the bowl, and lifts out entirely for easy cleaning. It's made in 18/10 stainless steel.
