Tripod Round Trivet

A trivet that reads more like a piece of jewellery than kitchen kit.

Designed by Gabriele Chiave, the Tripod is built from three mirror-finished stars linked by a chain, so it hangs neatly from a utensil hook until it is needed. Cast in chrome-plated zamak, it can be dropped onto the table and settled into place to take the heat of a boiling pan, a hot tray or a serving dish. Compact when stored, sculptural when in use.

The playful, adjustable form is the point: functional protection for the table that happens to look good doing it.
