A vase shaped like the instrument that inspired it.
Michael Anastassiades designed the Trumpet vase using the same hand-turning technique used to form the bell of a brass instrument — a metal disk progressively narrowed until it can be welded to the body of the piece.
This narrow-necked, small-format version is turned in silver-plated brass, part of Anastassiades's 2023 "Il Tornitore Matto" ("The Mad Turner") collection for Alessi, itself a nod to the trumpet-blowing White Rabbit from Alice in Wonderland.
Compact enough for a side table or console, it holds a single stem or a small, tight arrangement with quiet formality.
